One of the very biggest, observable changes in my new beginning is the laundry room . Old wainscoating, (on the walls and ceiling)  with decades of cooking and cigarette smoke (among other things) that had worked it's way deep into the old varnish  was very dark and gloomy. The water heater and old closet were  stategically located to take up as much space as possible and there were lots of other issues to numerous to mention. Which is partly why it took us over 20 years to begin to tackle it.  But here it is brighter and more functional. Too late however to worry about before pictures.
